Born in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, Someone’s Son is a home barber studio that is all about staying connected to the community that shaped us. The roots go back two decades to the Australian music scene, where our founder Adam found his groove as a touring musician. The name? A tip of the hat to the great John Farnham, who’s been a huge influence on Adam's journey.
Someone’s Son isn’t just a place to get a cut—it’s a place where all are treated like family and are welcome to kick back, have a chat and a laugh, and even share a drink while you’re at it. We’ve also got a mobile service that brings the same good vibes, banter, and sharp cuts straight to your door.
We’re all about community, creativity, inclusivity, and quality, making it our mission to bring people together in a welcoming, lively atmosphere for a great cut at a fair price.

Meet the Team
MEET ADAM
Meet Adam, the Founder and Principal Barber at Someone’s Son. A Melbourne local, Adam has spent the past 20 years as a successful musician, working with some of the finest artists in the Australian music industry. Beyond music and barbering, he has also dedicated a number of years to social work.
Adam is deeply passionate about people’s well-being. His vision for Someone’s Son is to create a welcoming, judgment-free space where everyone feels respected, valued, and empowered. He’s especially proud that a portion of SSB’s profits goes directly to local charities supporting homelessness and animal welfare—because doing good for the community matters.
When he’s not at the barber shop or in the music studio, Adam enjoys spending time at the beach or park with his rescue dog Daisy, hitting the bike trails of Melbourne, catching up with friends and family, or watching a game of just about any sport.
MEET DAISY
Meet Daisy, the furry face of Someone’s Son Barbers. Adam rescued her in December 2023 as a puppy and she quickly became the Queen of his life! Some of her favourite things include cuddles, running, swimming, playing with her furry friends and ‘head out the window’ car rides. You can expect lots of entertainment from her whilst sitting in the chair as she will no doubt come and say hello… multiple times! She is sweet in nature and just loves to be a part of anything happening at SSB. If you’re not a dog person that’s ok too, as she also loves sunbaking on her outside sunbed!
